Structural engineering company Archibald Shaw wanted to update their website with a fresh new look.
• Redesigning the website: The purpose of the new website was to create a design that worked with the current branding and exuded a less stuffy but confident, professional and design-led approach, reflecting how the company presents itself.
The colours and the logo were lifted and given a contemporary edge, which went well with the deliberate limited colour ranges in the images, reflecting a high-end feel to the website.
Typography and call-to-action buttons were designed and structured to be clear, simple but contemporary, whilst continuing to reflect professional expertise – a vital aspect in this client’s sector.
• Creating a ‘Meet the Team’ area: The client undertook a photoshoot as part of the new Meet the Team area and to give the team a more engaging look, which is something other engineering firms are reluctant to adopt. The images have a monochromatic aspect, which works well with the brand and much better than standard headshots.
• Technical aspects: We provided an easy-to-use CMS and blogging page so fresh, new content can be added to the website regularly. We also added galleries to display the work the client has undertaken.
Archibald Shaw now uses their LWS Web Manager service to add and adjust images or content to the website to keep it up-to-date.
